Closer... closer...
Well, in theory we should find out in about eight hours whether we've got the house.
This is the second-closest we've got so far. The first-closest being last Monday when we thought we would have it in a couple of minutes, only to be told it had been pushed back another three days.
So far, it's taken about six weeks from choosing a house to the first settlement date, and another three weeks from that settlement date to now. Given that we have plans for Friday night and Sunday afternoon, it'll probably be the better part of another week until we can actually get over there and kit the place out, and a further two-three until we completely move out of our current house.
Good thing I had plenty of spare time factored into the original plan, huh?
