So apparently TV's "Real American Stories" was gonna feature an interview with LL Cool J as given to Sarah Palin. Except his interview was not in fact given to Sarah Palin; it was given to someone else two years ago. Obviously he raised holy hell when he realized Fox was touting that interview as something else entirely. Fox obliged him and removed the interview, and also released this statement:
“Real American Stories” features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria. However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.
What the HELL ASS BALLS.
Yes, Fox News, because LL Cool J doesn't want you misappropriating his words and opinions in a completely different context and situation than when they were given, he is clearly against inspiration. Also, "fledgling acting career?!?" LL's been acting in films and TV since before Fox News EXISTED. Not like he's currently starring in one of the highest rated shows on TV or anything. Did you guys really think that none of your viewers would think twice or check your sources?
I'm all for love and tolerance and I really do try to practice both...but good god DAMN do these people piss me off.
By the way LL Cool J wrote Do It Well which is my favorite doin' it song EVARRRR
