Thank You for the beautiful girl who sat across from him and two seats over, also brown, also lovely, her skinny body engulfed by her purple Taco Bell work shirt, her brows and cheekbones and full, full lips belonging to a princess of Egypt.

Thank You for the music that kept me boppin' and smiling the entire hour-long ride (and not giving a pig's whistle that the entire bus noticed).

Thank You for the wild raspberries, honeysuckle and tiny peach tree that I passed as I walked home, and for the gentle breeze that played with my hair, and for the blueness of the sky.

Thank You for my dear, tiny, dank little home, for the curtains on my hobbit-hole windows and my apron hung from the stove and my sweet sweet shiny little tea kettle.

Thank You for the luscious pink polish on my toenails, and for the little table propping them up as I relax after a day of work, and for the cold sweet water I'm sippin' on.
