I had a wish list in my head, and the finale checked every box. I didn't know things like that happened! My shows tend to stab me in the back, or make the endings beautifully bittersweet, or glorious, but not, you know, have happy endings!
Yes! Although, my wish list didn't include Eleven swanning out of the TARDIS in tails, nor dancing. Those were added bonuses. It was like hanging up a stocking and getting a whole pair of tights.
Hee, I am out of practice at LJ, and, it seems, metaphors. :)
Yes! I loved Ten, I really did, but now I find myself watching without the tiniest twinge of longing for what was. The Nine-shaped hole isn't filled - nor could it be - but it simply isn't there any more. Eleven brings me endless joy.
There are poor crushed fans all over my TV, but if they only knew how much worse things could have been! And since the universe didn't collapse, I can forgive the Doctor allowing the England team to do so. :)
Just saw the Doctor Who finale . . . .annamirJuly 14 2010, 03:32:58 UTC
Well, doesn't that just nail it on the head? :-) It's not RTD's opera without music Doctor Who. (Thank Goodness!)
Hmm. Wedding bells? Im hoping that **someone else** is the groom. I adore Eleven. "He's like the annoying, know-it-all older brother" as Karen described Matt. Fine with me. :)
