It's not everybody's friend, but I love snow. By now I am starting to get the hang of walking on ice, and I like how alive a nip in the air makes you feel, and there is something good for the soul about walking through a magical world. I could get used to living in a Christmas card

And, oh no! The pilot left me smiling. I will heed your warning. To be fair, my mum's running commentary at this point is kind of killing it for me anyway. ;)

I am not a huge fan of the show and have ranted about it on more than one occasion. But I have to say that what you mentioned, which was sadly true, is something the writers must have come to see because the female characters have become better written and the male characters aren't portrayed as mere victims. And I do give the show points for how it portrays Kurt's relationship with his father.
Believe me, I'm not trying to get you to give the show another chance, I still don't feel it's as good as it could be, but I did want to mention it has gotten better.

Lovely pictures - our snow is going now, but it kept the children home from school tuesday-friday last week, so we got good mileage out of it. And it certainly is pretty! :)
I'm guessing you got my message, so shan't repeat any of that here, but instead urge you to watch Being Human, since it was as lovely as ever! *draws hearts*
Re. End of Time, then you should watch this vid (presuming your computer is up to it?), and I have a couple of meta recs here. (Personally I just adored it all, and am looking forward to Eleven even though Ten was my Doctor... *sniff*)
Oh! And since I'm spamming you anyway, I wrote more Alex fic: The Problem with Boxing Day. For some day when you need a story about a 6 y.o. Time Lord! :)

Anyway, v. happy you enjoyed episode 1 although having now seen ep 2 I realise how much ep 1 was just setting the scene. My oh my this show is dark. And yet lovely. It's an odd mixture, but it works very well! (I won't say anymore, 'cause then I'll just end up saying something spoilery. *g*)
Life is pretty dull otherwise, although I've got the girls to write letters/draw pictures for Matt Smith to be included in doctoreleven's Scrapbook Project. They're LOVELY pictures, and they're beginning to come to terms with the thought of a new Doctor, bless them. (Only DT was the proper Doctor you see, this new one was all wrong!)
Hope you're doing well, and that you're not too cold.
