Saw this on a friend's journal

I write like
Dan Brown
I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

The above result is from Constrained Desire. I had this thing analyze eight chapters. Three of them had Dan Brown as the result and the others were all different authors. I don't think I'm as good as Dan Brown, though. I actually got Stephen King for most of my fanfics (at least four got him as a result, including one chapter of Constrained Desire), as well as my journal entries (I tried three, they all came up Stephen King). Whut? Does that mean I'm too negative? Or is this just a common result that a lot of people get? What interests me though, is that I also got Chuck Palahniuk for a couple fics (Road to Deception, another chapter of Constrained Desire, and Fornication and Penance, which I haven't posted anywhere yet).

So, the overall impression that I get is that, while most of my writing is like Stephen King, I write novel-length stories like Dan Brown and action scenes like Chuck Palahniuk.

You know, the funny thing is that Dan Brown is the only one I've actually read, and that was only after seeing Da Vinci Code in theaters.  I've watched movies of some of Stephen King's novels too, but never read any of them. (Ah, what? I live under a rock, you know.) I've never read, or even watched any movies, based on the writing of Chuck Palahniuk. I'm aware that he wrote Fight Club, that's all I know about him. I also got James Joyce (who is he?), Mario Puzo (apparently, he writes about the mafia?!), and Ian Flemming (James Bond and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) once each for separate chapters of Constrained Desire. Weird, eh?
