bah!
You know what I hate even more than having to call strange people? When you psyche yourself to call, and all you get is a busy signal. Over and over and over... As if it wasn't difficult enough to get yourself to dial the number the first time. Let's just prolong the agony, shall we.
BUT there has been a highlight to the day (so far). We drove out to the library book sale (hooray! books) and guess what we saw along the way, just innocently swimming in a swamp? A shoveller! And I don't mean a deranged person trying to drain a swamp. It's a kind of duck, not all that popular either. It's the very first time I've seen one! I was so excited. It was so pretty, too! Their large beaks are something to look at; that's why they're called shovellers, because their beaks are shovel shaped.
So that's my exciting news. I haven't really done much work this weekend... Oh well. I'm dangerously close to that point of "not caring." And now I have all this week... Wahoo! Something to look forward to.
