Restaurant reccomendation wanted

Nov 24, 2005 13:47

I'm looking for a vegetarian friendly, MSG free restaurant in the South Perth / Perth / Nedlands general vicinity. <$30 mains would be preferred, since poor students are involved, but I'm slightly flexible on this.
Any recommendations would be welcome.

I like TQR and Viet Nosh, both Vietnamese places around Hampden Rd/Stirling Hwy near uni.

TQR is classier, Viet Nosh is cheaper and friendlier, both serve nice very moderately priced food without MSG (that I'm aware of anyway - I could be wrong).

Is vietnamese vege friendly? Most of the stuff I've had is pretty obviously meat-stock based.

*shrug* Depends how anal you are I guess. There'd be something for vegetarians on the menu of either of those places, although it might contain dangerous levels of toxic rennet and gelatin.

Given the point of this exercise was to find a venue for someone who eats none of rennet, gelatin or meat stock, it's a fairly valid point.

I'd say "highly valid" in that context. I didn't anticipate that as I've lately become used to a lazier breed of veg*an.

I apologise for mocking the rennet and gelatin averse. Mocking vegetarians is a tedious habit.

TQR and Viet Nosh still might be worth a look *shrug*.
