The Choice (MY Version) pls take the time to read it!
If I were given the choice of how to live, any way that I wish
Many things would be different in my life
Birth control would be faultless, so my partner and I
We’d never have to fret about having a child until our time came
There would be no HIV or STD’s, so the excruciating tests one must go through
They’d all be banished and no one would suffer from it again
Cheating would result in the death penalty, so it’d be something no one
Man or woman, would have to be troubled so much about
And Jerry Springer would be off the air in a heartbeat
As for my house, It’d put Hugh Hefner’s Mansion to shame
Up on a hill overlooking a metropolis, with a waterfall off to the right
And the Avalon Ballroom to the left, so I could see all the shows I want
My neighbors would be the members of Alkaline Trio
And bands of that sort, like Reggie and the Full Effect
It’d be covered in snow, but never cold,
So I could snowboard to work down my mountainside runs
And finally, to the money
It would not exist, we would all simply barter and borrow
It would simply be long term collateral
Or short term in other cases such as gasoline and food
There would be no wealthy and no deprived.
The treasures of the world would all be gone
And we’d all be content with what we’ve got
Until it got old then we’d trade it away for some one else’s delight
Jewels and Gold and things of the like
Would be nothing to us, just substance to make tools from
So as you can see, if I had the choice
Life would be real simple, an ignorant bliss
Because we’re all to caught up in money and such
When all we need is some ice cream and a hug
We had this thing to write in English class. So that was mine.
