Swords and Lasers wants stories in the 1500-7500-word range for their anthology. This is not a firm limit (upper or lower), and it pays $200 flat. Deadline is March 15.
The second
Unidentified Funny Objects antho is calling for subs. 500-6000-words, pay is five cents a word + contributor copy. Deadline is March 31.
On the Premises has launched their new contest. The theme is "Inner Workings," broadly defined, and they take any genre except children’s fiction, exploitative sex, or over-the-top gross-out horror. 1000-5000 words, pays:
1st prize: $180
2nd prize: $140
3rd prize: $100
Honorable mention: $40
They also do critiques, and there is no entry fee.
Fearful Symmetries opens May 1 and is looking for horror stories up to 10,000 words, although they prefer under 7500. Pay is seven cents a word. It closes May 31.
