life, in technicolor

and we bounce merrily along.

SCHOOL: is school.  I already want to stabby stab stab one classmate that is in BOTH of my monday classes.  Jerk has to argue with the teachers AND classmates on like, everything.  It wouldn't be annoying if we weren't ALL working professionals in similar fields.  Otherwise, I'm just going, trying to keep up on my reading, and turn in my weekly Case Study Reviews.  I already chose my big group projec topic: The Clinton Administration & China; human rights.  Now, it's just a matter of getting the group organized to divide & conquer.  BUT, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new laptop.  Got a rockin great deal on a screaming fast machine.  2G ram, 250G hard drive, webcam, and all other kinds of bells and whistles - for $464 total.  Seriously sweet.  And I'm a total geek-a-sauras carrying the thing with me everywhere and being online at school, at flying star and satellite cafes, and anywhere else I can connect to wirelessly.  geek-tastic.  Now, i just need a new printer for my office and some other silly accessories.

WORK:  I'm bored.  go figure.  Not challenging enough, and I have very little compassion for Nuclear.  it's a hard mission to get behind.  plain and simple.  If it were the arts or people, that'd be a different story.  BUT, since the economy is going so wonky, I'm considering getting out of development/fundraising and heading more towards the marketing side.  Already applied to a couple of different positions in this realm.

HOME: I love my boy.  We took a day for fun last week while in Colorado, and I posted a bunch of cute pics to my myspace from our ride on the Royal Gorge Canyon Train, in Canyon City.  We're still organizing ourselves in both sides of the duplex.  plus, we're getting ready for a visit from my mom and aunt next month during balloon fiesta.

SCA: we had a great time at our first fighting crown tourney last weekend in Colorado.  D had a tough tough draw throughout the whole list, but just fought his way through to the final five.  We were both so nervous processing for the first time in the Outlands, but received great feedback from the audience for our display.  We don't like having all our awards and accolades listed (it's not why we play the game) so instead we wrote up something about our personas and being proud Han people.  Andy (aka purplepenguin  aka Yagyu Tametomo) heralded us, his girl carried one banner, and my girl Bevin carried another.  it rocked.  We were even blessed with a surprise appearance of one of my favorite Nippon-o-philes - the elusive Otagiri-domo!   I haven't loaded pics up from that yet, and really didn't take many.  So, I'm waiting to see what other people post.

and, that's what I got for now!  cheers!
