I'm a tree, aka home, launching pad and soft landing for two tiny marsupials. Luckily for me, I've still kept a few leaves to protect me from their sharp little nails.

Awesome costume! Did you bring Kaiya? Is she in costume?

I'm thinking of baking up some Witch's Fingers, but I fear that Mai will eat all the dough!

I have no idea what caster sugar is, but anything shortbread is of the good. And Kaiya - who's already the color of fallen leaves - is wearing her fall-leaves coat, which I really have to get a picture of.

Caster sugar is superfine sugar - I just use plain old regular sugar and it seems fine. But I haven't tried these ones yet.

Oh Kaiya must be so adorable (well, she always is, naturally) - I hope you'll manage a photo of her coat!!

I used superfine sugar to top sugar cookies once and they were terribly boring. OR maybe it was just a very boring recipe! (Or maybe it was the chef!)

I always find sugar cookies to be a bit... bland. Which doesn't sound right, given the amount of sugar in most of these recipes. Shortbread, on the other hand... YUM.

Er, I mean... I am the moon. When you are the moon, you have no oven. I tried cooking bacon on the sun once but it went all black and tasted of charcoal drawings.

Hee! Bacon! On the sun!

Which makes me think of those cheezy florida postcards with pigs on the beach. "Bacon in the Sun!"

That's okay - I'm a Dalek, and I have no mouth with which to eat these treats. SIGH.

Hmmm... how do you bake without an oven? Maybe you could get everything ready and then wait for a comet to pass by.

Or you could ask a space station if you could borrow their oven. I don't think they'd mind.

The space station folk don't mind, but they're hard to get away from, talk your ear off once you get them started.

Also, since they ain't been back since they landed on my face that time, not even to borrow sugar of nothing, I'm kind of holding a grudge.

Those bitches.

I'm going to write them an angry letter.

I could just get jupiter to munch them down like a stale twix.

Yeah... that would probably be more effective.

I don't know what caster sugar is either.
I just tend to use whatever sugar is lying around... and it usually works.

Nice costume, by the way.
