Today is a day when Insanejournal really seems like the most appropriate journaling thingum for me, as things feel somewhat insane.
Ah well.
Movies!
Aliens: C'mon James Cameron, so far yours is the cheesiest by far. Fun, and YAY, Michael Biehn! But those were the cheesiest military personnel I've seen since Heartbreak Ridge. Bill Paxton, you outdid the cheese of even your Chet role from Weird Science. Good movie otherwise and Ripley continued to kick ass. Also, fuckin' Lance Henriksen for the fuckin' win!
Alien 3: Better than Aliens, not as good as Alien. I've seen this one before and still found their "plan" confusing. Otherwise I loved it. All the guys: Charles S. Dutton being awesome, Charles Dance being fantastically british, Paul McGann being utterly unrecognizable! (Seriously, I was looking for him the whole movie and didn't know which character he played until I looked it up after!), and some more Henriksen for good measure. And bald Ripley, which is my favorite Ripley. *rubs her badass bald head*
Been on an old movie kick, too.
Holiday: Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. Doing flips! Fluffy fun.
Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison: I saw this as a kid and remembered liking it a lot. I loved it this time, and Robert Mitchum almost brought me to tears, and it's not even a sad movie. Loved LOVED this.
By Wednesday I will have A Haunting in CT and Alien Resurrection. By Friday I will have Philadelphia Story.
I don't think I'm looking forward to anything in the theatres, actually.
