Hear ye! Hear ye! The court will now come to order! The honorable deliciously idiot-grinning Viggo presiding. So why, you might ask, is Vig back, Rev, when we all know that you never re-use icons. That, my friend, has a simple answer. The lovely and thoughtful
nutmeg3 decided he deserved a little more room to breathe. It's getting to be a regular
harem over there.
THANK YOU,
nutmeg3!!
And, just yesterday, I receieved another gift in the mail, something early for a certain impending date, well... TWO gifts in fact! I met
Kim Schultz over at
bale_daliy though I'd been admiring her work via
cruisedirector for years! We came together out of not only a common love for the Bale but a mutual appreciation of each other's art. And within days we had swapped prints. :) Her Quinn for my
Quinn. And now I've got the beginnings of a collection. ^ ^
She has other
Bale drawings as well as many others. Gerard Butler, I know, is one of her favorites, and she draws him beautifully. :)
THANK YOU, KIM!!
See,
mrkinch, I'm getting better at accepting gifts! I didn't protest or anything! What was that word you called me once...? :)
And in other wholly unrelated news, there's a great article in Revolver on Trent and his struggle with alcoholism and the shocking truth that he's "really pretty happy right now". Awesome article which I won't hesitate to scan if anyone is interested...
Deftones' Chino has a side project, Team Sleep, and they're releasing their first album this month! It's supposed to be a little less Deftones and a little more Cure/My Bloody Valentine.
At the Drive-In is releasing an anthology, This Station is Non-Operational, May 24 to include 18 songs, B-sides, BBC sessions, covers and a companion DVD with interviews videos, and rare footage!!
Lastly, Better Than Ezra is supposed to realease a new album sometime this month...
And in a final bit of even more, if possible, unrelated news, I watched Little Black Book last night because Ron Livingston has me pining over an old crush and he's so adorable and yes I'm far too easily influenced, thank you. But even the lovely Mr. Livingston couldn't make up for the fact that it was a terrible story. The Captain said "well, at least it's more like real life... the pretty, sneaky girl gets what she wants and fuck the rest of them." Which is pretty much how it goes. Damn movie ruined my night. Of course, then I skipped around to all the Ron parts and felt better. Hehe.
Jury dismissed.
