Sunggyu thought about what he knew about Woohyun, he knew what he needed to know. Woohyun was turned into a vampire in a random attack, and Woohyun had never turned a person into a vampire. He also knew that Woohyun tended to take blood from people he found attractive, that Woohyun liked to be on top and that Woohyun hated beds and he also knew that Woohyun didn't love him

"Woohyun?" Sunggyu said quietly as they lay together on the floor of his Seoul apartment, that the younger male practically lived at when he was in town. Sunggyu shuffled a little so he was propped up on his arm and looking at Woohyun. Woohyun had his eyes closed as if carefully thinking about. He then smiled almost cutely as he looked over at Sunggyu and shrugged.

"What do you look like? You look like a man." he said quietly, "a very sexy man." each word accented by a kiss. Sunggyu sighed, sometimes he felt like punching the younger man he was so very much in love with. He never took it seriously, Sunggyu always asked him the same question and he always got the same answer. He knew Woohyun quite probably had other men, or women. He had been told that the younger was bisexual (although never by Woohyun himself).

Sunggyu just left it at that. Woohyun never told him anymore even when he asked. Woohyun liked to tease, to make it hard for Sunggyu to penetrate the armour that guarded Woohyun's heart, his deep emotions that Sunggyu knew existed. It was just a rumour that vampires had no emotions. Sunggyu wished he had no emotions, it would make it easier, he wouldn't be frustrated with the younger and he might actually learn to enjoy their time together - not that he didn't there was just always something in the back of his mind, wondering if Woohyun was thinking of someone else while he was with him. "I'm going to Cheongju next week" Woohyun said quietly. "I can stop here until then right?"

"Sure" Sunggyu mumbled, he didn't want to keep letting Woohyun stay with him, he hated that the younger could just waltz into his home and he'd take it back like the boy had never left. He hated it when Woohyun left, he hated that he then slept in his bed - when Woohyun was over they always slept on the floor. (It is another myth that vampires don't sleep). Sunggyu hated Woohyun in equal measure to how much he loved him and this proved to be a huge problem for him, it meant that he always had a weakness to him. He hated that the younger just knew exactly what to say. But at the same time he loved everything about Woohyun, even his flaws. Sunggyu cuddled into Woohyun's chest, as if listening to his heart beat, even though Woohyun didn't have one. It was nice to be lying on him, it was nice to cuddle someone. Woohyun was just nice to be around. Sunggyu sighed and rolled over, looking away from Woohyun.

"Look, Sunggyu. You're a little chubby, with a stupid hair cut, but you're cute to me." Woohyun said, Sunggyu rolled his eyes, he knew that Woohyun was joking but he didn't want to rise to it. He didn't want to give the other the satisfaction of irritating him. "Look, why do you even care?" Woohyun said, before Sunggyu sat up and just shook his head. He'd told Woohyun before why he wanted to know, why he needed to ask. He didn't have a reflection and it had been a long time since he'd been changed. He felt Woohyun sit up and wrap his arms around Sunggyu's waist, taking him into the safe haven that was his arms. Woohyun pressed a soft kiss to the back of Sunggyu's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I forgot it's been so long for you, and that there weren't photographs when you were a human." Sunggyu just nodded, as he felt Woohyun smile against his skin. "I forget just how old you are."

"Thanks for that Woohyun." Sunggyu murmured, he didn't really want to go through quite how old he was. "I can't remember what it was like before. I can't remember what I looked like, I can't remember what my family looked like, I can't remember why I wanted this life, why I couldn't just die like a human."

"You never told me you asked him" Woohyun said, moving away slightly from Sunggyu. "You never told me you asked your lover to turn you." Sunggyu looked down. "You asked him? You asked for this?" Sunggyu looked at Woohyun and then looked down. "I wish I'd had to ask for it, you know why? Cus I'd still be a human if I'd had to ask!" Woohyun got up and began searching for his clothes. "You were one of them, you never told me you wanted this." Sunggyu stood up and looked at Woohyun. "You're short, you're ginger but that's hair dye, your roots are coming through, you're broad, your skin is pale, your eyes are small and your bite make is over your heart, whoever bit you wanted it to be done fast, he didn't want you to suffer from the venom." Sunggyu grabbed Woohyun's wrist, it was often an issue between the two types of vampires, the ones who wanted it and the ones who didn't. "What time period?"

"Silla. I was born in Silla, during the three kingdoms." Sunggyu said quietly. "You didn't know that about me either. Silla. I'm fluent in old Japanese, and in an old type of Chinese. I fought in every major war since then. When I was 23, I fell in love with someone - and it was taboo." Sunggyu sighed, "And he told me, there was a way, we could be together, that eventually our country would change and we'd be able to be accepted, but the only condition was that it was forever. So I agreed. So I asked him to do it, because I loved him." Sunggyu shook his head "but he didn't love me. He probably never did. and what were you, turned in a back alley behind a brothel?"

"Sunggyu..." Woohyun said quietly. "He did love you, look at where he changed you. and I was actually dying in the Korean war, when someone turned me. I don't know who or why." Sunggyu shook his head.

"I asked him to do it there." Sunggyu said, he then went quiet he didn't know that about Woohyun. "That could have been me" Sunggyu said quietly, he had turned people before and he had fought in that war - but he was 90% sure that he didn't turn anyone, during the war. Woohyun moved to show Sunggyu the mark, Sunggyu had seen it before, it was often where he rested his head when he slept. He didn't know why, but he liked to sleep there. He nodded, it was on the side of Woohyun's upper arm. "I'm sorry." Sunggyu said softly.

"So am I." Woohyun said gently, bringing Sunggyu back to lying down on the floor, holding him close. "You are short, and pale, and your eyes are small, but your eyes are this really nice brown colour, I mean like chocolate or something, and your cheeks are a little chubby." Woohyun's fingers traced down Sunggyu's cheek and then smiled. "Your lips are a little puffy right now, but I think that might be my fault." Woohyun said before gently kissing Sunggyu's lips. "You've got a nice neck," Woohyun mumbled kissing down Sunggyu's neck, "Prominent collarbones." Woohyun said moving to kiss along the collarbones, biting on one playfully. Sunggyu just closed his eyes, he knew this was as close as he was going to get from Woohyun as to a description of his appearance. He smiled as Woohyun placed soft kisses all over his body, describing him, in a way that only Woohyun could possibly have thought of.

"And this is my favourite part of you," Woohyun said quietly kissing when Sunggyu's heart was. "It's the heart that loves me, even when I am bad." Woohyun said quietly, before kissing Sunggyu again. He smiled and then cuddled tightly into Sunggyu's arms. Sunggyu smiled, it wasn't usual for him to be the one holding Woohyun but he liked it, he liked holding his boyfriend, he liked keeping him safe. "Would you have loved me as a human?" Woohyun mumbled against Sunggyu's chest.

"I'd have loved you how ever we'd both been. I would have loved you if we were both human, or if one of us was human, or if we were anything. I don't know Woohyun, loving you just, it comes naturally to me." Sunggyu sighed, he hated this, he knew he just sounded pathetic, he knew that deep down Woohyun liked the love but didn't reciprocate.

"I'm sorry" Woohyun said quietly, he was now putting his clothes back on and then he moved to kiss Sunggyu. "I'm sorry, I wish I felt the same way." Woohyun got up and put his coat on, he stood at the door and sighed, looking at Sunggyu. "I'll be back, but I can't do this right now. I can't... it feels weird when you explain your feelings like that." Sunggyu just nodded, he knew Woohyun was scared of how much love Sunggyu had for him but the older man had no intentions of changing his feelings any time soon.

"Go then" Sunggyu said, he didn't want to look at Woohyun right now and for some reason, even though he knew that wouls be the way it went , Sunggyu still felt hurt, he still felt as if he couldn't breathe as he stood in his window watching Woohyun walk away from his apartment. He sighed as he checked his phone. Another text from Woohyun came in and Sunggyu crumpled on the floor.

Sunggyu knew only a few things about Woohyun, he was a war veteran, he rested his head on Sunggyu's chest as a sign of trust, he wished he wasn't a vampire. Woohyun didn't like beds and Woohyun wasn't in love with him. But Sunggyu also knew that he would never see Woohyun again.
