A group of people from my insurance company sent me a letter overturning my podiatrist's request to send me to a surgeon for a consultation, determining that it was "unnecessary." As someone with a lot of experience with medical insurance bullshit, I feel your pain, both in your knees and in your butt.

Good choice for an icon, because its exactly what I'd say here.

Thank you for your comment! My insurance actually sent me a referral to an orthopedic surgeon in North Hollywood- They just didn't plainly state that they just didn't want to cover the UCLA guy my doctor wanted me to see. Nice and fancy-schmancy, explaining why I don't need to see a surgeon... and then sending me a referral to an alternate surgeon. It's funny, but I can't complain. Actually, it's VERY funny. :)
