Title: Wish I Could
Vidder: Yusagi (aka darkbunnyrabbit )
Music & Artist: One in a Million, Backstreet Boys
Size: 74.7mbs

Notes: Spoilers up to Journey's End

Wilfred POV - After Journey's End, Wilf is torn and tormented, watching Donna struggle to live an empty life, when he's seen how wonderful she can be. It's only worsened when she has nightmares she can't remember, and tells him on occasion of silly daydreams she has. Wilfred wishes he could just tell her to try and become a better person like she was--tell her that she *had* been a better person, but he can't bring himself to, after the Doctor's warning. One day, though...one day he promises himself, he will tell her. It doesn't make the waiting any better.

**The song is shortened to fit the video.

Overall Impression:  An original idea that never gets a chance to shine due to technical flaws and a poorly edited musical selection.

Titles: None.

Music Choice: This is so not my type of music. But, I can see how it could work for Donna and Gramps. In theory, the idea of his pain over Donna's fate is actually heartbreaking. I felt none of that with the vid. The editing of the song does nothing to help either. The cuts are obvious and distracting. It pushed me right out of the vid. And, if I'm not mistaken, the song was cut in two different sections.

Narration, tone, movement: I really like the story here. I really enjoyed Donna's relationship with Wilfred. It's nice to see it recognized. The pace and flow starts out well but quickly lapses into long scenes filled with talking heads.

Cuts, transitions, effects and coloring: There are blips at :54 and 2:06 that are so random that I can't even say anything about them except, what? Other than that, the cuts and transitions are smooth and well placed.

Specific vid and music notes: I've already mentioned the sound editing. It really doesn't work. I want to touch on the talking heads. It's hard to edit around, being that they do like to rambling on on DW, however, it's so distracting and there are so very many of them. It's worth the extra time to trim as many out as possible.

At the very end of the vid, instead of fading out it just does a black cut then the scene freezes in a blue hue. It's very abrupt.

Final notes: I really wanted to connect to this vid because it is so original but the technical flaws and sound problems prevented that from happening.
