i'm very inconsistent with my watch. for a few weeks or even months i'll wear a watch basically all the time, except for in the shower.
when i started to take higher-level/grad theory courses, however, i wasn't in a "watch" phase, which means a number of things. firstly, while i'd be sitting in class uncomfortable and scared, i wouldn't know how much time was left until i could get some fresh air. secondly, i had to find another means of watching.
that other means turned into looking at people's wrists, while carefully avoid any request to see their watches, so as to avoid looking like the sap who needs out (who is, of course, an easy prey for teachers and other students).
that was last year, and now, even if i am wearing a watch, i still am in need of those other wrists. i watch them. i watch how people look at their watches. i watch to see how long it takes them to look at their watches twice.
you can tell a lot about people by how they tell time.
also, some people have some kick-ass watches.
