My guess is that they'll go for some sort of Holocaust type deely to kill as many of us off as possible. This time it'll be the poor though, as overt racism is out of fashion. Nobody will care because nobody does care as long as it's not happening to them, the only people left who have any empathy are also mentally unstable, and therefore available for being murdered. In a world of psychopaths, being empathic is equivelant to mental instability - after all, it's "logical" that the 1% should tax everyone but themselves to death to pay for their corporate welfare, so it's equally "logical" that they should just up and murder us.

Don't know quite how they'll do it, my money's on gas like last time - but nowadays they can just blanket a big city in it and presto - everyone's dead. Washes away with the rain and then the rich can take vacant posession. Easy.

They will just quit feeding the poor and let them starve and die while they are safe in walled enclaves. The unemployed, the old, the sick, children with no working parents, will all be left to starve and die with no medical care. no Social Security and no social programs of any kind. If they do not starve quietly, they will be shot down for creating disturbances. Those left will be put in workhouses. The space emptied up can be put to better use than wasting it on ugly poor people and ugly poor housing. Cremation costs next to nothing.
