I think I was one of many who felt we've been in a recession all along. My mood isn't help by the fact that I unfairly lost my job (and you know why from reading my journal).

My understanding is that the higher up you go on the economic ladder, the more rank unfairness you see in the workplace.

It's happening on Obama's watch - two years into his administration. However, let's not forget how amazingly stubborn the GOP has been in blocking additional stimulus, while constantly talking down the economy, and spreading outright lies about the administration's tax policies, etc. - dampening consumer sentiment.

Exactly. Even without all the shit Obama is getting, it's going to take a very long time to clean up this mess. Americans are so unrealistic in their expectations, always assuming there will be a quick fix.
