I love how every single exaggerated disappointment somehow signals the death of 'zomg hope and change'.

Nice. Sorry, I guess I linked a news story.

I'm not GOP. This isn't a meme.

I read the story, and thought it was apropos to this community.

It involves unlimited financial assistance from tax payers to mortgage companies who will not be paying back their gain in the foreseeable future.

Bonuses in the millions to executives.

Skirting congress.

Does it matter?

Every self propagating idea is a meme. squidb0i December 26 2009, 02:34:18 UTC
That's what the word means.

And in this instance, both the gullible left and the right entire are working this particular meme for all it's worth.

Bullshit, if McCain had gotten elected but otherwise done everything Obama's done, he'd be called a fascist stooge of the Oligarchy. I'm not giving him a pass for being another slimy git after he promised to be a saint. The POTUS needs to learn not to make such grandiloquent promises in the first place.

Oh.

Kinda like "George Bush Doesn't Like Black People" then.

Got it.

I was trying to be a little humorous at the end, not doing the whole "Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth" thing. 'Cuz I'm not actually in politics.

Bullshit, for gays he's a slimy-handed betrayer of his own campaign promises. He outright lied about the Public Option. That lie will kill more people in the long-term than Bush's wars have. This leaves aside his retaining the super-presidency that was theoretically supposed to be the American Hitler in the making but is now Hunky-Dory because the Left has their favorite man in charge. Not to mention that he's also dramatically expanded a war that a 21st Century Western Army cannot win.

So...kindly shut the fuck up when you expect us to believe President Obama is anything better than GWB. He's continued all of Bush's worst policies and made the one mistake Bush didn't. To intervene in Latin American politics. >.>
