Elijah had to be avoiding her, that was the only conclusion Elena could come to.
Sitting in the den while holding onto one of his servants, she tried to figure out the issue once more but there was no easy answer. She knew why he seemed distant at times but she couldn't bring herself to fully admit it. Admitting it would make things complicated and things were already as complicated as they could possibly be. Of course, that didn't seem to matter to Klaus as he seemed to love pointing out the awkward behaviour from the Elder Original. Maybe not to Elijah's face or anywhere in his presence but the hybrid still remarked upon it once in awhile, usually when they were alone.
Sighing softly, she turned her head, pressing her face into the serving girl's neck as she bit down gently and started to feed. It had taken a few days of reassurance and encouragement, and a threat from Klaus to hide the blood bags, but Elena was finally feeding on the servants whenever she felt hungry enough. She was always gentle, as gentle as she could be, and it seemed the servants enjoyed it. Even now the girl was pressing closer with a soft noise of pleasure but Elena was ignoring her, and her wandering hand, as she focused on the blood instead. And the trouble inside of her head.
