Just now I finished watching Old Boy. It's a korean thriller, which my korean teacher recommended. I've already read the manga which it is based on. I feared it would be pretty similar, but it had a pretty much different story/outcome and of course it was much shorter. I would say it is even better than the manga. You should all watch it. It's a masterpiece. I didn't like the violence though. I had to cover my eyes sometimes. I wonder why the best directors make so brutal but brilliant films. Like Quentin Tarantino.
There are two other movies from The Vengeance Trilogy by Park Chan Wook. I have to watch them soon. Sadly it's to late to wish for the dvds to christmas, I think...

I know, it's a really short summary, but I think you have to see it for yourself to find out more about it. This movie even won the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival. And I will tell you for sure, how I found Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and Lady Vengeance when I watched them. So stay tuned ;)
