Baseball Championships and Sean Michael.

First the baseball...
My brother is a Nebraska baseball champion! He and his team came in first in state. Im so proud of him right now. I didnt realize that he was that good. I still think of him as the four year old who was playing t-ball in the back yard at grandma and grandpa's house. He batted 10 for 15 today, and played for 6 straight hours. He plays center feild, which i realize isnt saying a lot, but most of the kids are 1-2 years older than him, and he's still in the top nine starting lineup. He also is the #5 batter on the team. This boy is destined for the majiors, and he better remember who was playing baseball at all hours of the day from the time he could barely walk.

And Sean Michael.
Sean is the brother mentioned above. He is 8 years old, and absolutely amazing. I realized today while watching his baseball games how much of his life im missing. He's a good student. He can read so incredibly well. He remembers things. He can spell. He can Add, subtract, multiply and divide. He understands concepts so intended for children so much older than him. and he kills at video games. Somewhere between him talking about super mario something-or-another, and the girls across the street making fun of me, and him standing up for me is when I realized. Hes not only smart, hes sympathetic, and caring, hes loving, and kind. But more importantly he doesnt judge.
My father is racist, sean's best friend is black.
My grandparents are homophobic, and sean tells kids its not Ok to call people gay.
My stepmom is WAY to overprotective, and sean believes that kids should see the real world.
He is amazing. I love the boy to death, and beyond. And am so proud to be part of his childhood, and be able to see him grow up. Even if it means im missing the big moments, Im catching the small ones that create a person.

This is sean.
