(no subject)
long time no post, i know. school continues to kick me in the ass, with drafts for two papers due on thursday. fortunately, the promise of spring break glows in the distance...i just have to live until friday.
however...i just got a job! *applause*bows*yay*
i'm a residence assistant (r.a.) for the '06-'07 school year, which excites me tremendously. i had a two-part interview back in february - one day of group activities (each one mimicking a certain aspect of the job), and one day for an individual interview. both days went well, but i was really nervous when all was said and done. the applicant pools are very competitive, and many r.a's opt to stay on for more than one year, which means there aren't always a ton of openings.
but i made it! it's gonna be awesome. as far as i know, i'm in a freshman building, which should be fun. my assignment might change over the summer, but the point is, i'm hired.
