There was a storm on the other side of Frenchman's Mountain last night, complete with lightning. So my dad picked me up and we went out storm-chasing. We followed it all the way out to Overton Beach, but never caught it. So we headed back and drove right into a new storm forming over Echo Bay. I realized, while we were meandering through Stewart's Point for no reason at all, that I've never actually been to Overton. Ever. Which is surprising, because it's actually closer than Mesquite. But we just never drive that direction. We never have any reason to. But now I've conned my dad into taking me back out there when the sun is up to see just how much has changed since he was last out there for any reason.
On another note, I finally did something I've been meaning to do for a while: I found and added a bunch of crocheting communities here on LJ. Well, I only joined three but you get the idea. Now I can talk to people about crochet and they'll actually know what I'm talking about. I'm considering undertaking the task of making a set of amigurumi people that look kind of like Serenity's crew.
Also, I think my laptop's keyboard is making me dyslexic. In the typing sense.
