♥♥♥♥ THANK YOU MY LOVELIEST!! *snuggles and squees*

I am really pleased you like that line, and the weight it carries, Dean's own coping mechanism involves copious amounts of alcohol and well killing more things, and sex to a lesser extent. But with taking responsibility for a child, as unique and unconventional as Jack is for a one year old, and I know the boys have let Jack have a beer or two, but Dean is much more concerned for Jack's wellbeing, than his own. And I think he would want more for Jack, just as he always wanted more for Sam.

And yes!! I agree, Dean was the one to care for and comfort little Sammy. And I think like you've said before if Sam didn't get Dean, if John actually tried to step in Sammy would just cry more until he got Dean. And I think Dean would probably have had it in his head that he should quieten Sammy before he woke their dad up. John was out saving the world, he needed his rest, and also cause John was shall we say grouchy a lot.

And awww, what a wonderful big sister!! So lovely. :D:D

And I'm very happy that the parent!Dean-ness came across, as we've said, he's drawing on his experience with Sam, and Dean's touch is always what calmed him the most, and well I wanted to reinforce the newfound closeness between Dean and Jack, and also give Jack more physical comfort. And YES!! THIS: the fact that Jack didn’t wake up in a panic was because he recognised Dean’s voice. He knew he was safe because Dean was there. EXACTLY!! Seriously I am so shiny!happy you felt that *smishes you up*

I really like the thought of Dean setting up the other half of the monitor in Jack's room, explaining to him what it is, and that Dean will be there if he needs him. Jack maybe feeling a little skeptical of it. Not knowing how it would alert a sleeping Dean. But he falls asleep and then the nightmares start, and through the nightmare he hears Dean's voice, and then the fact that Dean is actually there like he said he would be, so he's a little like "You're actually here?" but so filled with love, and yes Dean's presence already working its magic :D:D

Seriously, thank you, sweetie!! ♥♥

I love the line, it is so Dean, and yes, Sam would pull him up on it.

It’s easy to forget when looking at Jack that he’s only a year old, he’s been through so much, and seen the worst the world has to offer. Dean had a drill sergeant growing up, which is why Dean was determined to give Sam something else, fulfilled the role of mother, father and brother to Sam. Dean’s words to Mary, “I hated you and I loved you.”

Dean is determined to give Jack all the love and care he can, much like he did Sam, putting Jack’s needs before his own. Like most parents will and do. Yes, Jack is Lucifer’s son, but he’s still only a child whose going to need all the help he can get to learn and come to terms with everything he is capable of doing and being. Jack’s wellbeing is paramount to Dean.

I think you’re right, part of Dean reassuring Sam was to help John to ease his workload considering how hard he hunted in his search for Yellow Eyes. He wanted to do what he could to help his father and in turn Sam come to rely on Dean, wanted Dean over John every single time.

My big sister is awesome and I adore her.

Parent Dean really does come across, I love it and it’s so realistic that once Dean came to care for Jack that he’d take him under his wing and be his protector it’s what Dean does. To offer comfort and be there.

I love Jack’s trust in Dean, the promise that he would hear, and be there was proven right and he woke to sound of Dean’s voice and comforting touch. He’d said he’d be there and he was.

And always will be.
