I really love how you show how much Jensen likes and cares for Chad:
Jensen sighed, with a huff of a laugh, he never could say no when Chad used that face, so ridiculous. "Okay. I'll go. But no plays. Or manoeuvres. You don't need that stuff."
And I adore this exchange:
Jensen took a breath and shook his head. Chad deserved better than that, "Forget it man. She didn't even like Jurassic Park."
"Dude!" Chad said with a familiar complete and utter disbelief and he took a drink of one of the beers he was holding. "And she seemed so normal."
"Can't trust a girl who doesn't like dinosaurs," Jensen said, relieved that Chad went for it. No matter how disappointed he was.
And hee hee, I love that Jared just lets the girls play with his hair - or braid it. Whatever. LMAO
This is just golden:
Felicia just shrugged but then more thoughtfully said, "Well he is smoking hot. I'd do him. You know, if he had boobs."
Jared's nose scrunched, "Well if there was ever a mood killer."
"Hey don't knock boobs until you've tried them," Felicia countered.
"My girl does love the ladies," Adrianne said fondly.
"Yes. Ladies. Boobs. All good things. Just don't go pinning them on my-...I mean Jensen." The girls all giggled and aww'd at him, and he huffed with a pout, "I hate you," which only made them giggle that much more, but Jared heard the oh poor baby undertone. Amy, Adrianne and Cindy all threw their arms around him since they were closest. A full group hug was inevitable and the other three girls crossed the room to join in. Jared wasn't going to complain about that.
And poor Jared, not being able sleep and then waking Danneel up only to feel bad about it and telling her to go back to sleep. She knows Jared all too well though to let that pass. It’s good Jared has someone who understands him and will be there to support him through all the things.
But Jared isn’t the only one missing out… Jensen definitely noticed the big Jared-shaped hole missing in the daily routine.
And ahhhhhhh, I love Jared and Jensen bumping into each other unexpectedly at the campus café. And Jared just couldn’t tell a lie, I love that about him, even though Jensen, of course, didn’t and couldn’t know that Jared’s unrequited love just happens to be Jensen himself.
And Jensen trying to cheer Jared up by inviting him out for guys’ night? Adorable!! I’m totally in love with this:
Jared bit the corner of his lip, hopefully in consideration and not an outright no. Jensen dropped his head a little to catch Jared's eye, "It'll be fun."
Bwa haha totally love the ‘you seen my blue shirt’ convo between Jared and Danneel, especially this:
"Jensen asked you out?!" and Jared heard the Dude, come on. Shut up! and he rubbed his chest in sympathy of where she would have smacked him had he been within her reach at that particular moment.
And aww, Jared’s got it bad:
"I tried cutting him out, Danni. I can't do it. If I can't be with him, then I can at least be his friend. Talking to him this morning made me feel happier than I have in a week."
OMG, I seriously love (I feel like I’m saying ‘love’ too much in comments, but I think you’ll forgive me, yes? lol) Jared’s conversation with Chris, all of it, but this made me for real laugh out loud:
But Chris surprised him again with a swift shrug and, “Was just challenging the kid-“
And Jared scoffed a little, “Wait. Who are you calling kid?”
“Well I don’t know. But if the next words out of your mouth were going to be I’m taller than you” the last part said in a mocking tone.
Jared just grinned, eyebrow cocked, “But I am taller than you.”
Chris shook his head, “Punk-ass kid.”
“Grumpy old man,” and he seriously had to refrain from sticking his tongue out at him.
I really do think Chad could come up with some off the wall, totally complicated drinking game. LMAO
And this, aww, Jared!:
“You can take the couch,” Chris said with a look, that Jared wasn’t sure how to interpret. Jared’s eyes flicked back to Jensen, who reached out to Chris to help pull him up off the couch and they disappeared off into Chris’s room, he guessed. But just to sleep. ‘Cause they were best friends. Like Jared and Danneel were best friends. Though he supposed there wouldn’t be any snuggling. Platonic guy friends don’t snuggle.
Jensen is single.
And maybe into guys.
Jared sorted out his pillow and laid down, one hand on his belly the other above his head with a yawn of his own. He was probably kinda screwed.
Gaaahhhhhhhhh!!!! How do I respond to all this shiny, shiny love? I keep reading it over and over, and I'm starting to get emotional!! *clings*
I'm really so glad that Jensen and Chad's friendship reads true, because well yeah, like I said later on in the fic, Jensen, Chad, and Chris too, are like brothers, they'd been playing together practically since they were in diapers lol and they were there for Chad when Chad's parents were getting divorced and all the shit that surrounded that, so you know, and I know you know about all the different kinds of crap that go into those *smishes hard*
You know I really am fond of the braiding Jared's hair -thank you Adrianne/Jared comment fic I did lol- and well you know how it amused me to have that parallel with Chad's comment about them braiding each other's hair lol
and haha Felicia appreciates Jensen's pretty, but she maybe might have a slight boob obsession *coughs* ;P though by that she meant if Jensen were a super hot chick of equivalent hotness to his male counterpart then she would do him LOL
and Jared totally loves being the centre of snuggly affections lol heee
Danneel is his person!! And of course he is close with Genevieve and Adrianne too but he just has that extra special bond with Danneel. I really like the thought of them meeting at kindergarten and Jared has scraped his elbow and Danneel kissing it better for him lol and then he shares his gummy worms with her *nods* lol ;P
And haha yes Jensen is just as distraught as Jared is about not getting to see the other boy, with neither of them being able to sleep, Jensen just doesn't know what to attribute it to lol
and ahhh yoouuu yes Jared couldn't lie to Jensen, I mean he bit back on the openly declaring his love, but he had to tell Jensen the truth, even if he didn't give the whole of it away, and poor Jared indeed, wanting Jensen so badly, and Jensen being all obliviously cute and sweet and making Jared want him even more
Also, also with the guys night, it's kind of funny because Jensen always kind of dreads going out, lol I mean he'll more often than not have a good time once he's actually out, but he's always kind of resistant to it, but when he says to Jared it'll be fun, well he's trying to convince them both, haha but also I feel like what he really means is that it will be fun because he will get to spend time with Jared, even if he doesn't know he means it that way, but did I mention how much Jensen perked up when he saw Jared right in front of him that morning? lol
the blue shirt talk is one of my most very favourite things, so much fun to write and I'm so glad you liked it too, I dunno it's just kind of neat to show how well they know/love each other :)
