The birth of RAGDOLLS came during the time of financial dilemma of the two owners. Misa Amane was making only enough money to get by. She was a new model, so the pay was not that high. And, Kafuka needed five hundred Amats to pay Gareki ( Mr. Brown Executive ) for Copyright. She wanted to continue calling him the nickname she gave him. Together, they began to plan a risky business of putting up and Yandere Cafe.

Yandere (ヤンデレ?) is a Japanese term for a person who is initially very loving and gentle, then at one point becomes deranged or psychotic, often brutally so. Yandere is a combination of the two words yanderu (病んでる?), meaning to be sick, and deredere (デレデレ?), which is defined as exhausted or lovestruck.
The concept was unique and they both agreed that it really suited their very personalities. It was a risky gamble but they took it. One of the problems was the question if the island was ready for such an unusual concept. They were rewarded.
They forwarded the plans to The Count (Original Bank Owner) and he gave them a loan of 12,000 Amats. Giovanni gave them a grant of 12,000 Amats. It was more than enough to start.
The target was to open on October 10, 2009 and hire enough employees for the opening. They were successful and opened on time. ( Due to the busy schedules of the muns, the date was supposed to be changed. But, they tried not to procrastinate ) They introduced a very unusual menu. The cakes and drinks were given names and designs that only Kafuka would give. What attracts the people to this place? The calm atmosphere. The unique and skilled presentation. The friendly people.

Even now, RAGDOLLS continue to expand and grow. It opens a Boarding House to give more comfort and a home to their employees, which the employers think of as friends.
