So my internet crapped out again. At my parents' house now. *sigh*
I have a Dreamwidth account! \o/ I think I may use it as an incentive to start writing again, since I've abandoned my fanfiction for way too long now. (Not that I was ever prolific in the first place...I have a single completed one-shot and a few drabbles to my name. LOL)
I don't get any invite codes until the 30th, but at that time I can start dishing them out to folks who want them. :)
[EDIT] To anybody on my flist with a paid LJ account and a spare moment, can you do me a favor? Go here and add my Dreamwidth URL (http://the-raddy.dreamwidth.org/) to the "Add Feed" section at the bottom? I can't do it because I only have a basic account. Once it's added people can track my Dreamwidth posts through their LJ friends lists by adding me to their RSS feeds. :)
The weather has been absolutely ridiculous lately. Last week we had some of the strongest wind I've ever seen in this area...and for the past two days we've had a heat wave. Even weirder, it's actually humid and overcast. The hot + humid + overcast combo doesn't happen very often around here. I feel like I'm in Houston!
I keep meaning to watch HBO's Grey Gardens, which Mom recorded for me, but for some reason I just haven't gotten around to it. I did find a cool slide show of before-and-after photos of the Grey Gardens estate. The "before" pictures are fascinatingly creepy, but the photos of the renovated house are so beautiful. I want to live there! Especially with that pool! ♥
