(no subject)
This has been a really weird Christmas.
BAD STUFF:
Mom stayed up until 2:30am cleaning the house on Christmas Eve, because she's lost her mind. She took a sleeping pill at 3am, which was really brilliant...Christmas morning she was so tired she got nauseous and threw up. She went back to bed after breakfast, so we didn't open Christmas presents until 3pm. (I might rant more about my mother at a later time...if I feel up to it. She's exhausting to talk about.)
GOOD STUFF:
I did get a MacBook Pro! Which means I can keep saving money for a possible Europe trip this spring. :) I also got a bunch of awesome costume books and yummy tea.
I didn't get the wicked cool Blade Runner DVD box set I asked for, but Grandma gave me $100, so that problem will be solved soon. ;)
I'm really excited about my new computer, but I'm also grimacing; to get this baby hooked up to our wireless network, I need to call Martha's brother Roberto, whom I've been avoiding like the plague. I once made the terrible mistake of letting Mike reset our router without consulting Roberto first, and he got royally pissed off because we called him to ask what the password was. I seriously don't want to deal with this guy, but he's the only one who knows the password to add my computer to the network. -_-
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ONLY 8:30. It feels like midnight or something.
