stupid wigs!!!!
Okay, I'm getting VERY ANNOYED with this Faye Valentine wig situation.
I don't normally have this much of a problem finding a suitable wig for a character...hell, usually I can find SEVERAL...but I can't find one for Faye! I've checked Cosworx and Amphigory (if any of you know of more costuming wig stores, let me know), and so far I've got nothin'.
I'd been looking at several Sepia brand wigs, because there's a perfect "black cherry purple" listed on their color swatches...until I realized that the specific wigs I was looking at don't come in that particular color. *growl* I finally found one that did, and I ordered it...it came in the mail today, and this thing is too short. I mean, it's an adorable wig in the perfect color and I'd love to come up with some little costume to go with it, but it is NOT long enough to be Faye's hair. The pics on the cosworx.com wig store were a little decieving. :(
At this point, I'm ready to find a medium-length wig with no bangs and no style, order it in flaming purple, and just trim it down and use a dark plum Sharpie on it. BUT I CAN'T EVEN FIND THAT. I don't know if I want to visit a local party store, because the wigs they usually sell are quite crappy. And I don't want to order a plain long wig and cut it back, because they're more expensive and it seems wasteful.
The thing that REALLY fries me is that Cyperous.com has the perfect wig in the perfect color...but they're a Japanese website. The the overseas shipping would be stupendous.

I'm just glad I found two possible wigs for Real Mayar, and one for Daedalus (bonus points for me: the Daedalus wig can also be used for Kaneda and Saya!)
BUT I NEED TO FIND A FAYE WIG! I'm wearing that costume in a couple of months! AAaack!
