(no subject)
Just pre-ordered Lifehouse's new album that comes out next Tuesday! w00t!
In other news, I haven't been up to much. Student teaching is good. Not as good as the first placement. Sometimes I think my mentor doesn't know what to do with me. I kinda feel I have been put on the side because my mentor is the current cheerleader sponsor and has been busy with tryouts, etc. Lucky I don't have to stay for that stuff. Middle school teachers are a whole different ball game from elementary teachers. Tomorrow I'll have a sub with me. The kids are most likely gonna be rowdyer that normal because it's the day before spring break. I've been counting down the days to tomorrow. Then I don't have to wake up at 5am for a whole 6 (school) days. The week after spring break, we have Monday off and a job fair at SHSU on Wednesday (which counts as a professional day and we don't have to go to school). So only three days that week. I get about a week cut out because of TAKS. I'm still learning a lot about what I need to do as far as disciplining the kids. They are definitely testing me. But they're all good kids and no MAJOR problems - like throwing desks or fighting.
It's gonna suck next week when I'm on spring break and everyone else has school. I'll prolly be sleeping most of the time anyway. I think the ESC is having a bake sale sometime next week. I'll get to be on campus for the first time all semester.
Currently reading Red Dragon. Very good. My roommate let me borrow it, and I'm prolly gonna someday get my own copies of all three books (Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal) because they are so good.
Other than that, that's about it. Not very exciting, eh?
