JOB!!
so... I had an interview on Monday with a Collections company in Markham (1.5 hours on busses with no traffic... each way)... and it went well - I was trying to find a convenient time that a manager could call me for a French Skills check... when I looked online again, and found that a HUGE collections company here IN Newmarket was also looking to hire. So I sent in my Resume, and followed up with a phone call on Tuesday, when I got a phone interview scheduled for Wed... at the end of which I was told to come in for an info session and interview on Thursday (today)... at the end of which I got a JOB OFFER - which I accepted!
Training starts Monday at 8:30am!
Although it's never been a dream of mine to work in collections... (probably because I've seen/experienced the other end when I was young with my Dad's issues...) but it's like $12.00+ and hour and the HR lady really seemed to Lay it all on the table with regards to expectations, training, and commissions/bonuses... and I liked the call centre A LOT more than the one in Markham...
so.... now I just have to work really hard and learn how to be assertive with being aggressive... and hope to GOD I can last for a while - and maybe do well or, God Forbid, make some friends....
