Shocker!! ;)
Hmm..well,this past weekend was definitely an interesting one to be sure. I can't handle myself sometimes. Let's see. Guess I will cover the highlights and factuals so I can retain a semblance of memory regarding these events. Thursday went to the movies with Ash and Tor since tor was up visiting. that was nice. one of the few times all summer long that i've actually done anything with them. guess they feel a bit weird around me as we're all heading in our own different directions. some better then others (but hey, WHO's judging?) watched the terminal - - pretty good flick. tom hanks is such a versatile actor.i really appreciate his skill. i mean you know they have to be good if while being pretty much unattractive you still seem to find yourself drawn to them and making allowances so that they are actually quite handsome. weird how that works. lol.
so anyway, that happened thursday. friday went to work and then tor came over to the house to visit with me and jenny and they talked about oxford and it made me realize how young tori is for all this and hopefully it will be this wonderfully awesome experience, expand the horizons, boxes are good for some things but not all things! take cedarville for instance. phew, i've been realizing more and more how cookie-cutter they are. trying to clone the one perfect christian. when we're all different individuals with different emotions and struggles,triumphs and goals, etc. there is a whole other world out there which i've had my eyes opened to moreso of late. working at tavern and just haning out with a bunch of different people. speaking of i forgot wednesday! lol. we went to peache's dance night (jenny, becky, and i) can i just say hilarious! we we were dancing with these three black guys and they were so funny. loved every minute of it! and then of course the closing song was off of moulin rouge so i knew every word to it and made a complete ass out of myself dancing and singing alongl. but holy cow it was so much fun. i think we might be going back tomorrow..we'll see how it goes i suppose (ooh, look i'm rhyming).
okay let's see...saturday i worked at tavern for a little over 8 hours and then i forget what we did for the rest of the night. whew..i'm getting old and losing my memory..but just working those eight hours was long enough for me! lol
however, sunday was another one of those completely random days that happen only once every three months or so. i had to work at the tavern of course and we got to watch the parade go by for the 4th of july with all their war protesting posters and impeach bush type of things. speaking of politics -- i'm really gonna have to get up to speed on those type of things. as of right now i feel completely at a loss and ignorant of what is really going on and that's no good because i have no excuse. so anyway, yeah, side-note.
worked at tavern till 6 and then went home for a nap (cause yeah, i'm definitely much more of a night person these days). woke up again at 10 and we went to peachs to hear matt and bill play with their band. however, we fucked that up and didn't get there in time to hear them. however, we did get to hear this fairly cool band with violins and hand-organs or whatever they're called. kinda river-dancish from time to time. then we headed back for home but becky got a call and we decided to head over to this bonfire right on 72 'bout a mile or so from our house. and there i got to meet....josh cunningham (who i'd met for a bit previously) and then stephen fisher, this guy called patrick (also known as one-eyed johnson - LOL...although he really does only have one eye which he lost when he was 16 or so in a car accident) he incidentally is Jodi Thornberg's youngest uncle. That was a little weird. But anyway, so funny and then there was this guy, jimmy, who was basically passed out by the time we got there. i felt bad cause jenny was tired and needed to go to bed casue she had to work the next morning so we took her back (we being mindy and i - becky actually went back to her apartment and passed out and we couldn't find her cause she was in the bathroom and that was the one place i didn't check out) phew..okay, this is like the wordiest entry i've done in forever..sorry,but i need to put all this in here!
okay, so we dropped jenny back off at the house, becky was lost, and steven came with us cause he wanted to make sure we were coming back to the bonfire. lol. by this time it was around 3 or so. mindy came back with me and i will forever appreciate her for this kind act! ;) cause i wanted to got back but not as the only girl with a bunch of guys i didn't really know. so yeah, we went back and she had a little closure session with josh (her ex-boyfriend - - yes, there is quite a history there). but i was so thankful she came! although i put her through shit..not really, but she was a little worrieda bout drew getting upset..which is understandable.;) but it was definitely good for her. i think. especially as she's just been recently married and can now let all the strings go. we stopped at mcdonalds around 5 cause the boys wanted breakfast...i let josh drive my car!!! i'm such an ass. seriously, what the hell was i thinking?! we made it home safely but we were going like 120. phew..life on the edge..uh-huh, that's the way i like it. riiight...so we're back at the bonfire waiting for the sun to rise. i however, got stuck listening to patrick talk about all these little projects he does. apparently, his grandparents helped establish cedarville university (which i really don't doubt) and he's got this huge trust fund and makes big deals. and was trying to talk me into going to vegas with him. LOL..uh-huh, yeah i do NOT see that happening.and the to become his secretary while he and josh are in hawaii for a couple months (that seems a bit more appealing to me - grin). but nope..i was definitely attracted to that one other person there at the party. steven fisher. ow-ow..definitley my type (which i know, jenny, is not yours..but hey we all have a quirks!) lol..i think it's cause my dad was in the military or something. anyway, he's part of the marines as well. got a couple awesome tatoos and well..the body - there's no complaining in that department. so met him sunday night..he got my number and called monday..i ended up spending the entire day with him on monday, met his entire family, had dinner with them in fact...can you believe it?! and then we went roller-blading and visitng jenny working over at the hearthstone and then came back watched a movie at my house and made-out. phew! oh my word, but he left this morning to go back to the base in north caroline..but he's planning on making it out here in another month as he got set up to work as a recruiter in this area for a month or so. so who knows what will happen...hmm....
i don't know though..i'm still kinda holding out for jacob for some reason...
