What's this? A contact?
So something useful finally came out of being here! I went to a local gaming shop with a friend of mine to play in a D&D one shot intended to teach some new gamers how it's done. We got there, and less than half of his group showed up, so we accepted the invitation of another group to play characters in their one shot game. We played and had a good time, and at the end the DM hands my friend and I business cards. Turns out he's a writer for Wizards of the Coast testing out ideas for their new campaign setting! Not only did our method of role playing impress him and cause him to make a few changes to the characters in the flavor text he's writing for this setting, but he offered to look over a piece for me and let me know how I can improve my writing. Who knows? Maybe if I can come up with something good enough I could end up with published piece. ^_^
