Late Nights, Cool Clothes, and Ninjas!

So very tired...
Although classes here have been incredibly easy, Kendo has started to take it's toll. On tuesdays and fridays practice ends at 6, I usually get home at about 7, and on Thursdays it goes to 8. I'm not used to commuting home after dark, it's been a rather interesting experience. I did well on my first Japanese test, though I was a little peeved that they didn't hand back the quiz for the last chapter on the test untill *after* the test. How the heck do I know if I'm doing something wrong if I don't get the corrections untill after the exam? Okay, enough of me bitching. On to cool stuff! I got to try on some kimonos recently! Those of you who have livejournal (and I think everyone who reads this does) can see pictures on my profile there. I'm told that I look very lordly in the outfit, which was a little short and uncomfortably hot, but cool none the less. hum... that was an interesting choice of adjectives... hot but cool...
Okay, getting off subject. I haven't spoken to anyone in the states in a good long while, which is making me miss home a little. I suppose I've been away from what I really consider "home" for a long time now. I only got to visit Portland for a couple of days when I went out, and it's going to be several more months before I can save enough money to move back there. *Sigh*

Last note, Kelli and I went the other day to a pottery making class and got a chance to make rice bowls and tea cups. They came out a little crooked but they look pretty good. I've still not gotten all of the clay off my hands, pottery wheels are quite messy. I can't wait to see what they look like after they're painted and everything. The master was really nice and gave us each our choice of one of his finished products that he was selling for free. I got a cool little sake cup, Kelli of course picked a tea cup. Though her's looks a lot cooler than mine.
I suppose that's about all for now. I'll proabably remember a bunch of stuff later and update this entry. Drama's been pretty low here, though one girl got a horrible host family that had only taken her on for the money and was treating her absolutely terribly. Luckily, they found her a new family today and she moves in on Thursday. Looking forward to another week of late nights and more kendo practice. Oh and we're going to a theme park with real Ninja's next weekend! The awesomeness of that idea has completely blown my mind. They even have a Shuriken throwing game! Yay Ninjas!
