lovely as usual! but you know Mal is going to be overprotective, that's just how he is. I can't wait to see her reaction the first time he tries to tell River to do something she doesnt want/need to do because he's worried about the baby.

btw, I noticed at the end of "Beginnings", Mal told Simon he probably would never be able to say the "L" word to him, and yet he does on a regular basis 5 years later. Do you think you will ever write that story, the first time Mal tells Simon he loves him? Please? *bats eyelashes*
