Zelda has an appointment with her doctor this afternoon. A simple check-up, so he's not all that worried and feels fine about letting her attend along. Chase works at a non-stop pace until well after two in the afternoon, planning to take a late lunch so he can visit with Gregory

"How's the grandson?" Foreman asked as he walked in with a coffee, still bristling a little at the idea of being a grandfather this young. "Ladykiller?"

"A few of the nurses tried to kidnap him. As it is, the entire station was fawning and cooing over her. He's a popular little man, that's for sure." Chase glances to Foreman. "You're just saying that for my reaction, now."

Gregory stirs, a soft whimper escaping him before settling again.

Foreman laughed. "It's disbelief for me too. I wasn't expecting to be a grandfather at 36."

[blondewombat]

"I guess that's what happens when you adopt an seventeen-year-old." Chase grins. "Speaking of kids, how is the litter that you and House are collecting?"

[the_neurologist]

"Kids are good," Foreman admitted. "Jeannie's still getting into trouble. Damn curious, that kid. Just like her Dad. Michael helps," he added, laughing.

"Gabe's getting fat. It's cute at this point, so I'm not worried."

Chase raises an eyebrow. "Are you sure we haven't switched lines?"

He rocks Gregory gently. "Well, they haven't burned your house down, yet. That's got to be something."

[the_neurologist]

"Something, yeah," Foreman said, laughing. "Be glad you only have one to deal with...ever."

"Maybe not," Chase says softly. He gives a half-hearted flood. "We're making sure this is the last pregnancy, but that's not the end all. Look at you and House."

[the_neurologist]

"Fair enough," Foreman said, laughing. "How long is Zelda letting you wait before you have another one?"

[blondewombat]

Chase chuckles, shaking his head. "I'm trying to hold out for two or so years. But knowing Zelda, we'll probably have another child next week."

[the_neurologist]

"Yeah, probably. You can always borrow ours," Foreman said, laughing a little.

[blondewombat]

He shoots Foreman a half-panicked look. "That's all right. At least Gregory stays where you put him, now. Yours can all move-- and do. Jeannette tied me up with some sort of a triple knot the last time she was over."

[the_neurologist]

"She's...excitable," Foreman said, shrugging. "Gregory's sweet now, but he'll be just the same."

[blondewombat]

"God, I hope not," Chase breathes, rocking Gregory. "Maybe if I watch him grow, I can head it off." He cocks his head. "Though I don't think Zelda would let me leash Gregory."

[the_neurologist]

"I'm thinking no," Foreman said, eyebrowing at the suggestion. "Not to mention the grandfather. While I'm all for keeping kids safe, House will...well. Don't leash his grandson."

[blondewombat]

"I bet he was on a leash," Chase mutters, bouncing Gregory slightly. "I just hope he's not like I was as a kid."
