Cordelia was not freaking out, thank you. She was just a little nervous because of the hurricane, that was all. Score another point for California: No crazy-huge storms like this trying to kill everyone. Unless the Hellmouth was acting up, but that was earthquakes, and anyone could handle earthquakes

"Sure, yeah," Angel said, shifting as best he could in the small bed. "I'm still a little sore, so try to refrain from squeezing if you can?"

"I will." Cordelia slid into the bed beside him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Have you ever been in a hurricane?" Probably a dumb question, since he was ridiculously old.

[angelensouled]

"Yeah. Labor Day hurricane in 1935. It was easier to feed then, since the chaos made it...well, it was just easier," Angel said, swallowing thickly.

Cordelia nodded. "As bad as this one?" She laughed a little. "For all I know, this is nothing for a hurricane."

"It was worse than this, but this is bad," Angel said, sighing a little. "It'll be fine, Cordelia. I promise."

"Take my mind off it." Not that Cordelia had any suggestions on how to do that, since her entire mind was sort of on the hurricane.

"Uh, I could sing," Angel suggested, humming the opening bars of Mandy as best he could.

Cordelia smacked him gently on an area she thought was relatively unbruised. "Do that and I might go out into the hurricane."

Angel pouted a little, but turned it into a smile. "Baby names? That's neutral enough."

[promqueencordi]

"Baby names," Cordelia agreed. "Only four months to go. No Buffy, Darla, or Alexander."

"Connor?" Angel suggested. "It's a good, strong Irish name."

[promqueencordi]

No. No Connor. Cordelia thought fast. "I think I dated a Connor in high school. Didn't like him much."

"Really?" Angel screwed up his face in concentration, absently wanting to scratch at his stitches. "Um, well, I like Cassandra."

"Cassandra Chase," Cordelia tried. "Could work. That's a lot of 'a's." She thought a moment. "What about something simple, like Eve?"

[angelensouled]

Angel shook his head. "Bad idea. She might want to wear fig leaves. Ciara?"

"Ciara's pretty. Ciara Chase." Cordelia smiled and kissed his neck. "I like it. For a boy...Daniel?"
