I had a really fun weekend! I nearly killed my brain this past week with school. I really needed a break after midterms and writing term papers and studying for tests. It all the fun started Saturday at 6:30 AM at the Folmsbees for the first ever Bacon Fest! So a bunch of the guys from the church got together to eat grits, eggs, and most importantly...BACON. So yeah it was really fun. Jeremy got his shirt really messy so I told him not to wash it and make it the official Bacon Fest t-shirt for future events. So, all of us signed it and and wrote notes on the shirt. We decided to have Bacon Fest every time the bikers are in town so we remember to do it.

So, after Bacon Fest my parents left town for the weekend to get some time away. We sent the younger two siblings away so it was just Aaron, Mal and I with the whole house. So, that was cool. I got some serious non-interrupted study time in.

Oh, and tropical storm Alpha developed on Saturday! I think we pretty much broke every record this season. I'm just so thankful that this area isn't part of the statistics this year.

On Sunday I ate pie for breakfast. Then I went to go set up for the Sunday meeting. After church all us kids went over to the Stembergers to eat home made pizza and watch Dumb and Dumber (Emily hadn't seen it yet). After the movie was over we didn't leave cuz of the weather. I was on their computer looking up storm info (found out school was canceled!!!). As I was doing so Jessica thought she would IM Emily. But it was actually me. I got her to believe that she was talking to Emily and then I told her that it was actually Nick. She believed that for a while until I told her it was Mal. I think this went on for twenty minutes before I told her it was me. That was pretty fun.

So, now it still feels like the weekend cuz school is canceled. So, today I'm just going to chill and laugh at the news reporters and their pathetic knowledge of hurricanes as they tell people what to do. Should be fun.
