Low key type of day..

Not too much exciting stuff going on today. Bear decided to stay home and work today because Dale Mabry (sp?) was going to be closed down for several hours. The apparently was a police shooting while we were gone. An officer, who had been well known and well loved, died in the line of duty. The ciy was shutting down major streets today for several hours to allow for the traffic to/from the service. The streets that were being shut down were the ones which Bear comes/goes to work on. So, he stayed home and worked.

I worked on several outstanding issues to do with payments today. The only thing I'm going to say about this is that SAP (the software) s*cks, and I don't know how the company became such a powerhouse.

Anyway, for lunch Bear and I compared our insurance plans and finally came up with a primary care provider which services both of our insurance plans. Bear called her and I now have an appointment in October with her to get set up as her patient. Bear is still waiting because there was some type of issue with his insurance card. The physician, after hearing about my bout with poison oak/ivy and the rash that has ensued, has also recommended a skin doctor for me to see next week. So, I'm off medicine as of this Thursday and have the appointment next Wednesday. I so hate the way our medical system works anymore. You get sick and you have to wait a week prior to getting treatment. By the time they get you in, normally everything is resolved. It just doen't make sense. Anyway, I'm going to *hope* this rash goes away prior to then. If not, I'll be bathing in oatmeal baths for the next week to help with the iching.

We started today also looking for dentist but didn't get too far. We're looking for a sedation dentist similiar to the one we had in Indy. She was so awesome...I can go to any dentist, however Bear has a more limited selection.. So, we'll see where we end up there.

Besides that, I walked Goober today (she was so excited to get out of the hosue and go on her walk), and I took a swim. The water was really perfect.. Felt like body temprature so it was easy just walking right in. The big spotlight for tomorrow will be getting out at noon to go to the post office and mail a package. Whoo hoo! :)
