Heck of a month

I can't believe that the year is already 1/2 way over. I just was scheduled for my mid-year review, which threw me for surprise. Can it really almost be time for summer solstice already? Where has the year gone?

I've been incredibly busy recently w/work. I feel daily like I'm living in a Dilbert cartoon.. Amazingly, even with all the project management that is above us trying to stop us from doing our work by demanding justifications on why things changes from their assumptions which we didn't agree to do in the first place, we've been able to make our major milestones. Of course, this isn't without many late nights.. And it hasn't been without the team changing the strategy at the last moment prior to submission of a document thus causing rework of the document.. And of course, the team that I sponsor has been wonderful, but I've had all my support run off from that recently, thus leaving me there to take care of everything.. So, it's been stressful..

On some good news though, our pool is open and I've been swimming in it daily to relieve the stress.. It's been fantastic! And, we found a plant *very* similar to the plant my mom and I planted in Indiana that I've been trying to transplant here... The plant I brount from Indy is actually doing fairly well considering I have been nurturing it from clippings (and supposably I'm not suppose to be able to do this). But, in case something happens, I now know I can get these plants here as wel (I *LOVE* that plant! I believe they had it mislabeled at Lowes.. We know it is a Minerva.. We believe it is a Rose of Minerva, but it was labeled something completely different).

Anyways, I will be going back to Indy this weekend. The fun part about this is that a friend has come down to Florida for a conference. We're going to pick him up and I'm planning on flying w/him back to Indy.. So, at least the plane flight should be more interesting than normal. Don't really have plans as of yet besides maybe going to a gaming shop on Friday.

Ok, Goob is pestering to go for a walk, so I need to run.

tampa, work
