Sweet Halo...

Well,

My dormroom is now complete. Yesterday, I purchased a TV and hooked up the Xbox. I did this in part because I found out that the network on campus supports Xbox multiplayer (Which is friggen awesome). The second I turned on Halo multiplayer an upperclassmen walked into my room and said to me, "that screen will destroy your college academics and dreams of the future." I smiled back at him knowing the truth in his words.

Nonetheless, its set up and I spent part of my evening playing against guys on the floor. This evening opened my eyes to an important realization...
There is an entire league of Halo play that we are simply not in.

I played my first game and schooled another freshman. Then came my sudden realization of how limited we are in Halo. Sophmores got involved. I thought Matt Zeigler was good. I thought Jon and Mark were good. I never thought Adam was good. I was then introduced to a brand of Halo beyond my imagination.

Enter unamed sophmore and his friend...I live on the same floor as these kids and I have never seen them before. There door is always locked. These two kids beat me and another kid who is probably comparable to Mark in skill about 50 to 3 in Hang em High. I don't think I ever lived more than 5 seconds at a time. I didn't even know where the shots were comming from. Unbelievable...

There first words to me were to not play Halo as a freshman because it ruins you. Apparently thats all they did last year and this kids GPA fell to somewhere in the low 2's. They said they basically played Halo without ceasing for a year. They were bred for this like the Chinese Olympic teams.

I can't even think anymore. It was one of the most bizzare events ever.
Sorry for updating entirely about Halo.

As I was tonight and always will be...
