As I noted, Jeong Jeong can't die because we lost Iroh. If Piandao died, JJ would be upset and stalk Pakku. Bumi needs to stick around because Iroh died.

It happened years ago, says Long Feng, why put emotional emapthasis on an event he cannot change. Though, at the time, he was clearly distraught. A lot of this is posturing for Long Feng, he's not quite broke, but he's not well. And he terribly misses Ishi. I don't think Long Feng will walk gracefully again.
