Oh my God (of war!)
So, I just got the BEST early morning visit from my brother.
There's a FIRE just east of town. And with the heavy wind we have it's forcing evacuations. There's already two parts of town (the northern most two) are already evacuated, and at least local State university campus and the JC are closed. And the High school(s) and middle school are likely to not open today either.
The house I grew up in, and am living in now with my parents, is on the eastern edge of town.
So, my parents and and I are packing bags of stuff we really can't be without (Meds, electronic cords, important papers we shouldn't lose, etc.) and are getting ready in case we're evacuated as well.
So, I'm safe-ish for now... and I'll let people know when that changes.
