James Marsters & Gareth David Lloyd - Celtic Blues Concert

Nov 18, 2007 03:31

So some of you may recall my embarassing gig-missing experience this summer, when I completely failed to actually see any of the James Marsters gig.

Well the good news is, that after fighting with alarm clocks, misplacing shoes, accidentally over-tipping a tazi driver, and standing in the freezing cold for ages, I managed to attend JM's follow-up gig and not miss anything*

*okay I did miss a verse of the fourth song into his set, but I reallly needed to pee!

It seems that Mister Marsters had such fun here in Cardiff over the summer that he wanted to come back and hold the European launch of his new album Like A Waterfall here. Supporting him was Gareth David Lloyd from Torchwood, who had performed a surprise guest spot at the previous gig (that I missed) this time doing several growly rock'n'blues covers to get things going.

It was an enjoyable gig, though sadly not as long as it could have been, as JM was struggling with broken fingers.  Bless him, he was so apologetic about it.  It was weird drinking cider at what equates to breakfast time for me though!

The bad news, is that my camera sucks. Or I suck at using it.  Or probably both.
