I have a variety of Victorian/Neo Victorian interests: literature, architecture, clothing and corsets, crafts, ettiquette, Steampunk, fans, cameras, photography, flowers and gardens. I crochet and I used to make ribbon flowers, though I'd sadly gotten out of the habit. I've been known to overdress. My dream home would be a huge Victorian house in period colors with at least one turret.
I've created a meme for this community and placed mine under a livejournal cut.

What draws you to the Victorian age?
Probably the rituals. There were codes of conduct, elaborate table settings for the wealthy, and a woman could could make a point with a flick of her fan.
What's was your first experience with something Victorian? Details?
I read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass in first or second grade. The edition had John Tenniel's illustrations, like the original. I loved the books and the illustrations. I was hooked.
Do you have any Victorian past times?
I sew and crochet. I'll probably get back into making ribbon flowers.
Do you dress Victorian/Neo Victorian?
Nope.
Do you attend Victorian themed events? (Or make your own)
Sadly no.
If you could visit the Victorian times would you?
Maybe for a little while, just to take a look and shop.
If you said yes, what decade?
I think the 1880s. I like the clothes and photography had evolved since the 1830s.
Would you stay?
No way! I'm a biracial woman and the Victorians weren't particularly multicultural. Besides, I like modern conveniences and don't like hats with dead birds stuck to them.
Anything to add?
Random fact about me: my favorite word is aceldama, because it's so darn pretty but means "field of bloodshed."
