Thank you, my dear! I got the idea when I was waiting for the subway here in Glasgow, and the woman I saw driving the train was pretty much that woman I described, and I couldn't help but wonder what her life might be like outside work...and it all kind of escalated from there!
Oh thank you! What a lovely thing to say! My first fan! :D Please pardon my ignorance, but are you in the competition? I am trying to find out if you have an entry I can read...:$
Ha! Um. Well, I'm a guy, so it would have quite a different effect on myself. As for its effect on women, meh, I just made that up. It's probably the most likely symptoms...right? :S :P
Aww. This story not only showcases your ability as a very talented writer, but also your ability to create interesting, multifaceted characters. It sounds like you had a lot of fun with this piece, and got a chance to exercise your character's voice (which I loved, by the way). And, in return, I had a lot of fun reading this. :)
I laughed, I smiled, and I finished reading this feeling, appropriately, happy. Nice work. This is definitely one of my favorites... as usual. :)
Thank you, my dear! Some really nice things you've said up there - I'm grateful!
I was trying to do a more character-centric piece, rather than a setting-centric one, which is my usual. I'm really glad it seems to have worked out, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
