This week has been exhausting, and you know what, it's not even my life that's so exhausting! Having done a lot of fucked up stuff in my past, I have been known to attract drama. I've been known to attract the most bizarre types of drama that are really only appropriate for independent movie scripts because there's no way that they'd happen in real life or major studio blockbusters. To the point that friends would say "I wouldn't believe that could happen, if you weren't the one telling me." So imagine my surprise when
everydaypanacea's life turns upside down rather than mine. Can't blame this one on me! ...okay, you could, but it would never stand up beyond cursory observation. I am not even a minor player in this drama, although I tried to be as good a friend to those involved as I could. And while the storm has moved out of direct public observation, I am exhausted from the deluge--the hurricane!--of drama that was this last week.
One of the hosts of Luke's podcast, Fear the Boot, left the show. It's a big deal because he's been there since episode two or three. I will let Luke tell what, if any, specifics he chooses. He is continuing with Fear the Boot and the podcast, and FtB is all the better for him. But wanting to provide options for what he could do in the future (because that's what friends do, yeah), I came up with my own idea, essentially what Fear the Boot should be if it were to last over the long term (there's only so many RPG topics to be had, after all). So I present to youThe Podge Cast!
Role playing, table top gaming, books, movies, music, and whatever's on our minds.
Geek culture expands well beyond just RPGs and as adults, there are certainly more things to talk about than just Geek culture. The opportunities are exciting and I want to be involved, even though there's nothing to be involved in. I'm happy things are getting back to normal and hopefully they will continue to succeed for him. I hope someday this is something that can happen. It would be awesome.
